Blue pen don't work with empty note book?

I just started a new game and I don't have a backpack I found a dead body with a shot gun and a lot of ammo for differnt guns. I don't want to carry all that around until I find me a "Safe" place to make a safe house from. I wanted to use the empty notebook to make a note on where I leave the gun and the bullets because knowing me I will forget about it.

Can you use the Blue pen with an empty notebook? I tried but it wouldn't let me type anything.

Blue or Red pens do not "work" atm (bug is already logged) You should be able to use a simple Pen (sorta grey-ish in colour) or a Pencil.

thanks i figured it out. I also died 2nd night :(

I had a zombie break the window open and my character just slept through it and i got bit. Sad way to go.
