Why do I get dirty so fast?
I harvested some vegetables, apparently got dirty from that, washed my clothes but they still keep getting dirty after one day. Is this because I got into a car in completely dirty clothes and now it keeps staining my twice washed clothes?

It may just be that you're a dirty, dirty boy. Naaah, it's a bit quick. Sandbox setting to slow it down is in if you like.

It seems even if you do nothing, clothes get dirty just because you wear them

I agree it feels too fast...and too annoying to keep them clean

All my games now are in "slow" config to dirtness but man, still too quick... too much annoying to keep all that clear, with or without a washing machine..

I dont noticed but, while dirty there is more chance to get sick?
Ficelle Nov 22, 2019 @ 10:14am
Dirty (bloody ?) doesnt do anything unless you have a wound
Perhaps later, with zombie smell...it could also play a role

If you are wounded, dirty (bloody ?) clothes are supposed to increase normal infection chances...which can make you sick eventually if not treated

This 'dirty effect' is really small (or not working)

Nobody is alive to clean anything anymore so with time everything should get dusty, mostly from decaying organic matter.

Forgot to mention I also washed myself and even waited until clothes get dry assuming that wet clothes make dirt stick to them quicker.

its an annoying feature.

Ok, you really get dirty for no reason. I lied down for a few hours to sleep clean and in pretty much clean clothes and wet belt/socks/boots and woke up 80% dirty.

Dirty boy confirmed.

Yep, sweaty or whatever. I don't like it much either*. WIP.

e: *speed of dirtying /e

Then two clothing items takes an entire sink of water, hours to dry, and rare soap. Yes the clothes get dirty far to quickly without doing much at all.

If you have a permanent base, salvage a washing machine and a dryer from a posh house. You don't need to use soap with those. Connect to a rain collector on the roof, hook up to a generator and you'll have clean, dry clothes all the time.

Just washed all my cloths this night in washer and after on dryer, all 100 % clean and dry.
Go sleep at 00:00 and woke at 7:00, was in winter, no swear, my config in sandbox like aways is "slow" to dirtyness speed.

Woke with almosrt all pieces more or less 80% dirty LOL, man ok i give up now time to take the sledgehammer and do some work on that washing machine just to dont suffer the temptation of use it again.

Lol. Maybe they want you to sleep in PJs? Otherwise all those dirty wrinkles 'n stuff.

e: I really don't think it does anything yet Septimus, just there for fun if we want to try it out. Like clothes were at first. /e

The bathing suit could serve as a nightie.

I've noticed that you get dirty incredibly fast when jogging. Literally 1-2% every second.
