2.Are you using a car mod?
Nah, its a bush. I've been clearing out that path way of bushes & trees, for 2-4 in game hours just so I can find a place to call home and sleep.
These little bushes are basically brick walls. I have to either go around them, or cut them down with a axe, even though my car due to its ride height, weight and power, it should be able to just drive over them, regardless if its a small tree or a small bush.
While considering the type of vehicle I'm driving, in the photo, would have no issues doing such things IRL.
And yes, I am using a car mod. 'Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars' to be exact.
I am driving the HMMWV M1025, which I got incredibly lucky to find in New Denver with the keys and a dead battery..
I usually only play on the survival difficult just so I don't have to deal with this type of issue. But it's starting to become an annoyance when I have to pull a six point turn, when a stubborn bush blocks my way or if I veer off of the side of a road to avoid hitting a zombie (to save my headlights) and barely touching a bush - wrecking my car and severely wounding myself...
This game is sounding more and more like it's awful...
The game itself is very fun. I currently have 180 hours in game, my dad who's been playing this game every single day since I shown him it last year, has 1900 hours in game and counting.
These bushes, and trees take time to grow into the world, they don't just come out of no where. I'm playing on 6 months later, so the world itself is already overgrown, with insane zombie counts compared to the other modes where it isn't overgrown and the zombie population is much lower.
And clearing a pathway, like I am doing, is something you probably only have to do once per save game. Depends on how long you survive that is.
If the developers actually fix this issue with the bushes, then it'll be a lot more fun to play as you're not spending your time finding 50 million light bulbs to replace the ones you broke by hitting a bush, or spending a good half a hour clearing a pathway of bushes and trees.
Well I just got the demo. Going to see if I like it. I've held off for years because all I kept hearing and seeing was
"SLOW DEVELOPMENT! THE DEVS ARE DEAD! UPDATES DON'T OCCUR! GAME ABANDONED!" so I'm like .....ehhhhhh it looks so cool though, but I've been burned on so many Early Access games....what to do........
A DEVELOPER! He is alive! THEY LIED!
On a serious note from experience of smashing into a tree at 55mph before. Your car stops.....VIOLENTLY....and....VERY SUDDENLY....
Have you even played with the card mod enabled? No?
There are also options in the Sandbox to avoid this issue, but hew its easier to complain about a game you don`t even own.
Calm down there Mr Sodium. All I said was my experience from hitting a tree in real life, you don't "run over it". You STOP...INSTANTLY.
I agreed with the developer on it. As far as "car mod", no I'm checking the game out to see if I want to purchase it or not and researching before I make an investment into an item that may or may not entertain me worth my money and my time.
You have yourself a nice day.
EDIT: it tastes fine but my feet have gone weird
EDIT 2: they've gone pueple and one of them fell off. I assume it will grow back due to the nutritional value of honey. Doctor yay or nay?
Wait...in real life or the game?...
Real life I think you might've mistook Mead for the Turpentine...
It was turned way up in the game, so players that might only survive a few weeks would see the world growing around them. In the game, a tree can grow to full size in just a few months.
I always turn that setting way down.
Yeah, I always use sandbox difficulty. Then I just modify the presets. I didn't bother touching the world growth as I rarely play SML, I usually play on survival - which the world does not grow as fast as it does in SML.
Also, Kotho, You liking t he game so far?
