Distracting zombies **SPOILER ALERT**

so im tying to use walkie talkies as a distraction in single player mode, i get 2 of them and place one on ground turn it on at full volume and tune it to 95mhz. then i equip the other one as primary and turn it on and tune to 95mhz.

The problem is when i shout no text comes out of the one placed on the ground. am i doing something wrong?

I'm guessing that the "voicechat" function only works in multiplayer mode.

Maybe you're too far away from walkie-talkie that's on the ground?

i dont think i am, is on the same screen less than 100 tiles

Never tried to use them like that in single player. Maybe try tuning one to an actual radio station to get it to broadcast

all the commercial radio stations are down i just get <FZZZZZZ> from them, can zombies hear that?

Yes commercial radios still work even with nobody talking.

I built a ham station and walkie talkies. tuned them same channel and within 15 tiles, did nothing. but there really isnt a way to send a speech. just noise makers with a certain distance. so if we tune them to the radio channels they act as radios. kinda disappointing.

Radios not working has a been a problem for a long time. There use to be a mod that fixed it by providing it's own radio system. But that mod is long gone and long broke. Devs need to fix talking into radios instead of continuing to forget about it.

Same issue with the tv and radio programs/broadcasts all playing at the same time instead of separately throughout the day.
