Charcoal BBQ?
So, I noticed you can use other materials to keep it burning? So, you don't need charcoal?
Also, does it attract zombies?

You need paper (or books etc) to light it. Then you can use wood, paper, clothes, charcoal etc. to keep it burning.

I always put it inside my house (mid-game) so I don't know if it attracts zombies.

is it impossible to switch off the bbq after you cooked your stuff, to save fuel ? a little bit of water should do it ?

How much paper do you need to light it? Do you need anything else with the paper to do so?

1 paper is enough, you also need matches/a lighter to light it of course.

A twig + lighter/match can also be used to light it. Also worth noting that toilet paper is an extremely weight-efficient fuel source, although it takes a long time to load it in because loading each "charge" of toilet paper from a roll is a separate action.
