I too pick, slow reader, and I think this trait and shortsighted would be perfectly balanced with the implementation of functional glasses as long as prescriptions were involved.
I figured someone would mention that sooner or later, and I came prepared!
First, I'd just as soon see it not matter. Too much real for such a little thing.
If we really wanted it though, we could:
A: at character creation remove the option for the player to select no glasses.
B: have only glasses with that exact frame color negate the effect.
eh?
Adding in prescriptions may be a bit overcomplicated to balance out a singular trait.
Hearing aids would be a tough one considering the time this takes place.
Back then those things were huge and battery life was a bit of a pain.
Not to mention they all used batteries that were almost exclusively used by that brand of hearing aids.
You are forgetting that the game starts in whatever time period you want thanks to custom settings. By the way, with this new update glasses do fall off heads, I tested it's officially in game.
Maybe, but the game is still build around the preset game modes and the items reflect that.
All you are doing by setting the time to for example the present, is make an alternate universe where brick-sized cell phones are modern tech in 2019.
You have't been able to do that since loading up the game and looking in custom settings right below the survivor playstyle like I just did lmao
The game stays the same with 1993 techs, no matter if you start in year 1000 or 3000 (if it is possible)
