Build 41 Terminator zombies, and all weapons are sponges?
I just hit a zombie 8 times (allot of overhead swing animation to boop it's head off)
with a bloody two handed axe wielded in two hands.
I'm a village boy, i wielded an two handed axes in my life.
EVEN rusty axe in inexperienced hands, with a well aimed hit would send a limb flying.

What em i trying to say, bloody 41 build makes SOME zombies be immortal terminators. Usualy happens with groups where there are 10 zombies nearbye, you pull one, it's a terminator and you keep kiting it 3 streets while you bash on it's head and it's just so bad balanced...

Have to agree... right now Zombies are utter tanks even on the weakest strangth settings.

Pay attention to where your weapon swings when you've knocked a zombie down; that seems to matter a lot more now.

Once I started inching a bit further towards their top end, I've had no issues one tapping Zeds with a saucepan.

Unless you are attacking a zombie that lies on the ground, it does seem like they'll tank most attacks you throw at them.

I've found that once i knock them on the ground, its only a few hits before they die, if not only one.
ULTRA PATRIOT 2019 年 10 月 18 日 下午 6:50
Prior to knocking them down; there's the age-old wind up. If you sit there holding RMB for a while before letting loose, it seems to be more effective at making them eat dirt.

The Zeds also appear to follow the same balancing rules as the player; and will fall down more reliably if a few certain criteria are met. The most surefire way I've discovered is literally just shoving them twice. Once to get them off balance, the second to send them toppling over.

There is one other funky thing that I'll need to do more testing with, but with the one handed weapons - there's occasionally a series of attacks you can do; sort of bonking them on the head - and the Zed will slowly get lower and lower down before you finally pop his melon. Might be tied to skill, might not.

15 minutes later i am done, you cannot do anything remotely after 15 minutes of the game, the zombies swarm in hundreds, and you cannot kill one in 2 minutes. Paired with unability to fight multiple zombies at a time, you are forced to run, run where? you put hundred zombies on every block, it's impossible to test anything but first 15 minutes of the game.

-(Dirt mechanic) Was interested to test how the washing clothes work, fair to say i need soap to wash clothes, cause water wash is???
-The attack animation could use some swing speed at end, it really looks how it feels, sluggish and the attacks looks like you dont really want to hurt the zombie while hitting it.

You need to stop playing it as if it were the older builds, man. There's a lot more emphasis on smarter movements and smarter fights; instead of "oh boy i found a fire axe, time to mow down 100 zombies".

Stop thinking you're your Rambo character from build 39.

I wish people would elaborate on these "smarter movements." What are you even talking about? Strafing? I mean its nice and all, but it's yet to save me against anything. The combat situations i've found myself in so far have been either the "ez pz" type or "you were gonna die either way" type.

More than 1 zombie. Run away. Smarter.

Don't use the wood axe for fighting right now...

Why is that? I like using spiked bat. Looks good in new build

Moves very slow and does little damage unlike the normal axe. We meant to change it before release, but it got missed due to the bigger stuff.

I think it's the base of many of these complaints.

is the normal axe that little one handed one? Coz i just found one of them but haven't used it yet

It's one that has a brown wooden handle and silver head, not the fire axe.

The hand axe you found is actually pretty good despite its short range, imo.

cool thanks for the info

By smarter movements, I mean with regards to manouvering/avoiding fights where possible. Losing a pocket of zombies in the trees, or behind a house etc. If you have to fight, the more open the better and so on. All of the things from older builds apply; but avoiding is more of a thing than fighting now - which makes sense to me.

Your not doing it right. Shove to the ground, line up the shot and tada... 1 shot zombie kill. If it's taking you 8 swings, then you are not killing the zombies properly. A weapon lasts forever if you play the game smart, rather than trying to be rambo with a woodaxe.

Watch MathasGames play PZ if you want an example of playing smarter. He lures zombies in 1 by 1, runs through the woods and out the other side to make them lose sight, etc.

Also, I may be wrong, but I think what part of the weapon hits the zombie counts. For example, if you're using a bat, I think it's better to hit them with the very end, instead of the middle of the bat. Like I say, I could be wrong but it seems to be working.

can't find soap and I have survived for days in game without getting bit, one on one is fine just push and stomp you does not need weapon the trouble start when you fight two or more better run away and forage on the forest.

using baseball bat or for example crowbar you need full swing to get full effect damage. mostly just using my barehands though since the easiet way to kill zombie is just push and push and stomp.
