Once I started inching a bit further towards their top end, I've had no issues one tapping Zeds with a saucepan.
I've found that once i knock them on the ground, its only a few hits before they die, if not only one.
The Zeds also appear to follow the same balancing rules as the player; and will fall down more reliably if a few certain criteria are met. The most surefire way I've discovered is literally just shoving them twice. Once to get them off balance, the second to send them toppling over.
There is one other funky thing that I'll need to do more testing with, but with the one handed weapons - there's occasionally a series of attacks you can do; sort of bonking them on the head - and the Zed will slowly get lower and lower down before you finally pop his melon. Might be tied to skill, might not.
-(Dirt mechanic) Was interested to test how the washing clothes work, fair to say i need soap to wash clothes, cause water wash is???
-The attack animation could use some swing speed at end, it really looks how it feels, sluggish and the attacks looks like you dont really want to hurt the zombie while hitting it.
Stop thinking you're your Rambo character from build 39.
I wish people would elaborate on these "smarter movements." What are you even talking about? Strafing? I mean its nice and all, but it's yet to save me against anything. The combat situations i've found myself in so far have been either the "ez pz" type or "you were gonna die either way" type.
More than 1 zombie. Run away. Smarter.
Why is that? I like using spiked bat. Looks good in new build
is the normal axe that little one handed one? Coz i just found one of them but haven't used it yet
cool thanks for the info
By smarter movements, I mean with regards to manouvering/avoiding fights where possible. Losing a pocket of zombies in the trees, or behind a house etc. If you have to fight, the more open the better and so on. All of the things from older builds apply; but avoiding is more of a thing than fighting now - which makes sense to me.
Your not doing it right. Shove to the ground, line up the shot and tada... 1 shot zombie kill. If it's taking you 8 swings, then you are not killing the zombies properly. A weapon lasts forever if you play the game smart, rather than trying to be rambo with a woodaxe.
Also, I may be wrong, but I think what part of the weapon hits the zombie counts. For example, if you're using a bat, I think it's better to hit them with the very end, instead of the middle of the bat. Like I say, I could be wrong but it seems to be working.
can't find soap and I have survived for days in game without getting bit, one on one is fine just push and stomp you does not need weapon the trouble start when you fight two or more better run away and forage on the forest.
using baseball bat or for example crowbar you need full swing to get full effect damage. mostly just using my barehands though since the easiet way to kill zombie is just push and push and stomp.
