Ranger outfit/Police outfit in the character creation?
I would actually like to point out that not being able to pick typical police clothes (and cowboish hat) in character creation is sorta bad decision.

I wanted to basically make Rick from TWD in that creation screen but sadly I need to loot clothes from zombies for that to happen... or am I missing something?

I would also like to suggest "Soldier" occupation where we can start with typical army clothes.

I'm guessing because of the added bite/scratch protection those pieces have they don't want you to start with an added buff against them.
Being given all the clothing on character creation would defeat the purpose of looking for the new outfits and remove the hype when you find something interesting like the cop's outfit.

Lore-wise, it's been about a week since the infection began, so still being in your character's profession clothing wouldn't be realistic.

Also, Overpowered, as immodium mentioned.
I dont think that typical clothing of police uniform protects better than normal shirt. Im talkin about kevlar.

Why would your character be wearing a kevlar vest at home?

We will provide an expanded set for RP servers to allow people RPing professions to spawn that way, but otherwise want to encourage people to loot for the cooler clothing.

aren't protected more from bites/scratches than say someone in normal shirt, etc. Game has those clothes in but they aren't selectable in the creation.

You should make kevlar/armors thing object of hype etc, not typical outfits for park rangers/police.

I know bite protection is important, but what I am saying is that in otherwise realistic game, this isn't realistic that such uniforms are more resistant to bites. Police uniforms like on photo above aren't more resistant to bites. Again, you should make things like armors object of hype, finding military grade armors or kevlar uniforms, or hell, anything else that protects better. Right now those police sets should be selectable in the creation menus in order to allow for single player roleplay.
