Just look out for large groups.
Likely it was an ambient noise file. They happen sometimes as the computer trise to migrate zombies to you.
lol
Whelp. without likenning it to anything outside the game, I can't really help you :/
If it was loud, it was probably someone making horrible death screams.
The way this game works is that the computer identifies when there's an area devoid of zombies. It then creates noise to make a reason for zombies to redestribute to into the voided areas.
Somtimes these noises are gunshots, dogs barking, dogs whimpering, birds chirping... but they can also be the death screams of men and women. You probably heard one of the women screams, which can be rather shrill, loud, and excessively dramatic. (to be fair, the guy screams are also excessively dramatic)
There is a womans death scream that sounds rather inhuman. That could be it.
Oh yeah, that one. That one sends chills down my spine if I have my headphones in.
"Aaaahhhh! AAAAGHHH???? aaaahhh."
I think its supposed to show some one changeing in to a zombie while being attacked.
Example: man beinging biten, the first scream, man changing into Zombie, the second scream,
and the third scream is in fact the first moan of a fresh Zombie.
