Vehicle Build Controls

I've looked around for a list of controls, and have read the controls in the options of the game but I still don't know how to do a lot of things with vehicles.

Firstly, how do I look in the vehicles inventory?

Next, if I enter a vehicle via the passenger side, logic allows me to assume that I can climb into the driver seat, and hence unlock that side's door. But how do I switch seats?

Do I automatically put the key in the ignition when I get in the driver's seat?

I can't remember any of the others. Either way, all help appreciated.

Most of what you're asking can be done by pressing V except checking the cars inventory. If you want to look in the trunk then you stand by the trunk and use the same method as anything else, but if you want to check the visor you need to be in the drivers seat and to see anything else in the seats you must be inside the car.

I hate to necro this post, but... I can't seem to look in the trunk. Or any of the rest of the car's inventory spaces for that matter. Which sucks because raiding the bookstore early is a must for Hydrocraft and I can only hold like a quarter of what I need per trip, so being able to put some of those books in the trunk would be... really really helpful and I can't do it for some reason.

Something they didn't mention is that you need to open the trunk by pressing "E" also.

Also, do you have any mods installed aside from Hydrocraft? I know some bag mods mess with the vehicle's inventory, effectively causing them to not be seen. Hydrocraft itself is fine though.
