Shooting through baracades

Is it supposed to work? Ive had luck with metal bars but then ive also tried it with metal bars and sometimes it doesnt work at all. Am I breaking the baracade by shooting through it?

EDIT: I gave it a test and you can shoot through metal bar baracades and you can shoot through double-wood baracades. Just to make sure, I checked and you cant shoot through metal sheet baracades nor full-wood baracades and you cannot hit through any baracades with melee.

I think its a little silly that your baracades break as you shoot through them but at least we have something.

Well, your character doesn't have pin-point accuracy so he will hit them and it's not like he's sticking his gun out through them either.
