Sandbox Mode
I was thinking of what to get myself for Christmas and I heard someone compare this to Minecraft in a Zombie Apocalypse. Well, in Minecraft, one can go into "creative" mode (sandbox mode), mess around with some stuff and then go into his creation as "survival mode" (normal play). Can you do so here?

Comparing to Minecraft I have to say no. 7 Days to Die will be an accurate description. Project Zomboid is unique in its own right.

Yes, you can do sandbox mode but only with a server, as far as I know.

If you play around with the settings enough, then yes you can have a game without zombies. There's also a mod that allows you admin rights in your single player games (So you can have god mode, and be able to build things without needing the required items) though I can't remember the name of it. I'll edit this post with a link if I remember. I think it's possible to then turn that into a survival game if you are familiar with text editing (Using notepad/notepad ++ to change the settings of your game) but don't quote me on that.

EDIT: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=499795221 lets you play in a "makeshift" creative mode.
