Burning down a house? -SOLVED-
I'm trying to burn down a house because the surrounding houses are full of zombies, so i put various things in the oven, (bleach, hairspray and a baseball bat) but nothing worked. Even by burning some meat to a crisp, it wouldn't catch.

In earlier builds the houses would be on fire in no time, but it's not working. Any tips? :deadrat:

Are you playing solo or a multiplayer game?

Solo
Hmm the fire should start spreading, maybe just wait some more time.

I believe only food items, once burned to a crisp, and left a while have a chance to cause a house fire. But it may not burn the whole house down, and it most likely will not spread to the houses around it if your trying to burn the zombies in other houses. Plus, zombies take a long time to die from fire, and while they are burning, they will spread the fire everywhere they go.

I have left a steak in the oven, and now it's completely burnt, but nothing will catch. There isn't a fire at all, that's what's weird about it. I think it has something to do with the new build, because when the "Burning" bar on the food used to reach the max, it would immediately catch on fire, but thats not happening. Now it just tells me the steak is burnt. I don't know what to do and i've been waiting a while. Any other suggestions?

Ok, i did it, the house is on fire. I think they just altered something in the new build and it takes a bit longer.

I left a small mouse (skinned) in the oven, cooking... boom! Fire almost wiped out the second floor and my friends in the kitchen! Not sure how long it takes, but fire WILL happen.

Yeah it ended up happening. Just took longer than i remember.
