Generator not giving refrigerator power

Are there certain places on the map where generators won't provide power to appliances? Like say, the same areas where one can't forage or trap? I placed a refrigerator right next to the generator, connected gen and turned it on, but the fridge doesn't receive any power.

Hard to guess without a screenshot, are you sure you connected the server and then enabled it?

Yeah I'm sure gen was connected and then turned on. It's in an area where foraging isn't enabled deep in the woods so maybe it's just a dead zone.

Well, if it doesn't work to power up your appliances, it WILL work to draw hordes to you.
