what is the logic of the helicopter event?
i remember a manager telling me that it was suppose to mark the arrival of the military....ok, it marked it, several times on the same spots for over 2:30 in-game hours now, wich is about 40 minuts for me.

that chooper just keeps going back and foward on my base without what seems to be a porpuse other than to ♥♥♥♥ with me. is he doing recon?on the same place for the sixth time?is he landing troops?flying everywhere like that he ins't,is he giving air support?because i am not hearing any gun-fire, does he even have a destination flying all over the place like that?

since i play with sprinters i have the entire town running around my farm now, and my house is being pummeled to the ground. That chooper just keeps coming back and foward and i have no chance to escape because i know it will follow me, i have seen it in a stream before, and as soon as that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stick with me, everyone will come running at me. At the very least my farm is barricaded, so i guess this will be my last stand, and the last time i will let this nonsensical event enabled.

just what was the mentality behind this event, other than to fist the player's ass?i find it most fortunate that it can be disabled, just a shame i will have to restart everything.

I'm going to be honest, you need to use the search function once in a while.

The helicopter is there to attract zombies. Since you're playing with sprinting zombies, I wish you the best of luck.

You are playing with Sprinters on....you SERIOUSLY think you are going to survive for very long? You must have your game heavily modded, because vanilla Sprinters would tear you apart within 5 minutes. The longest I've ever seen anyone survive Sprinters is 20 minutes.

Do you play sandbox mode ? Maybe you changed the meta-events frequency for the chopper ?!

i like to think its a news chopper, defying the restricted airspace to get some footage of the quarantine.

kinda explains why it follows you if you are outside when its around. "this just in, we have spotted what seems to be a uninfected human moving around down there, we are going to follow them and see what they are doing to combat the infected."

that would make a lot of sense, but on the first tv broadcast, they say the military have placed a no-fly-zone on the exclusion zone, so there would be no way a news helicopter would enter the area.

gameplay of sprinters on youtube are of peaple usually playing for the first time to see how it is, or having way to many zombies on screen.

its impossible for you to know how much time i may survive if you don't know the settings for my game. And even tough my game is heavely modded now, i have survived over 3-4 days against sprinters unmoded before. It ins't hard once you learn how to do it, and after trying over 30 times, you get to know the best places of the map to set up bases, and stay alive, the best routes to avoid them, the best places to get weapons, the perks to get,how to trap them in houses, that sorta of thing.

if i tried unmodded now, i bet i could survive 5-7 days, but i like to have mods, they bring more flavor to the game.

"defying the restricted airspace" is the key here.

anything to get a scoop, even violating the law. reporters will do all kinds of stuff to get a good, marketable story, letter and intent of the law be damned.

So long as the reporters frequently claim that they've covered wars, you know? I'm all good with that theory.
well, i don't know how hard it is to bypass a no-fly-zone, but sure, i can see some crazy reporters going in there to grab some good images at the risk of being killed. It wound't be the first time that happend, yeah i will buy that.

I think the nightly events, helicoptor flybys, shots in the night, dogs barking and the occasionaly screaming person are just to move the zombies around. I usually setup base and start sweeping the area for walkers about two blocks around the building before I start anything like chopping down trees or taking apart toilets so you don't have that moment when you go straight from plumbers crack to zombie attack whenever you are trying to do anything. I think I've got about 5K dead zombies on the board I'm playing on now and I still have to search room by room to make sure it is clear of zombies before I start making any noise.

I do hate that helo though, you are just standing there minding your own business and suddenly you are at the head of a zombie parade coming down the street.

The helicopter is being flown by zombies, filming a reality TV series for zombies, about a survivor trying to live around zombie neighbors.

I'd imagine it's easier to get into a restricted quarantine than out...
or at least i'd hope so.
