Disinfecting the rag is better than using rags. Bangages are better than rags. You should only need to disinfect the wound once if your using disinfected rags or bandages.
High medical skill heals faster. Herbs can be applied for faster healing. Staying well fed heals you faster.
Some traits can cause you to heal slower or faster.
Welcome to Project Zomboid which ISN'T an arcade game, it's a sim. Wounds are for real, and have a realistic heal time. Scratches that cause bleeding IRL don't take a couple hours to heal. They take days.
Lowers your run speed and your endurance level so you get tired faster from running.
Did you pick the slow healer trait? Were you scratched by a zombie which has a 7% to infect you anyway?
Are you eatting, do you know about weight balance - not too fat, not too skinny - BALANCE.
