How long do wounds last?
I got scratched and thought "Oh this'll go away in like 2 minutes" but I'm running low on rags and disinfectant ;-;

They last a couple days. I usually only apply disinfectant once (ASAP after the wound occurs). And rags/bandages can be cleaned and re-used.

If you stay well fed your heal quicker but try not to keep checking or it won't heal just let it do it's thing and then after awhile just have a look.

Use water to clean dirty rags.

Disinfecting the rag is better than using rags. Bangages are better than rags. You should only need to disinfect the wound once if your using disinfected rags or bandages.

High medical skill heals faster. Herbs can be applied for faster healing. Staying well fed heals you faster.

Some traits can cause you to heal slower or faster.

Also be careful when eating too much. Being well fed will cause your character to gain weight. Unless you're eating like cabbages and carrots which has low calorie count.

Welcome to Project Zomboid which ISN'T an arcade game, it's a sim. Wounds are for real, and have a realistic heal time. Scratches that cause bleeding IRL don't take a couple hours to heal. They take days.

Lowers your run speed and your endurance level so you get tired faster from running.

What about a neck wound, I got bitten and I keep having to reapply bandages, how long does it take for the neck wound to heal, I turned off infection temporarily just so I could heal the wound. So how long would it take.

Frankly the issue the average player has is *losing* too much weight, especially later on... which also comes with negative drawbacks.

Game's got a lot more going on than "I got a wound".

Did you pick the slow healer trait? Were you scratched by a zombie which has a 7% to infect you anyway?

Are you eatting, do you know about weight balance - not too fat, not too skinny - BALANCE.

Are you gathering local supplies, what game mode you're playing on, what mods.

A lot going on. :/
