Yeah no idea how i feel about this, Bungie. I think this is far beyond homage, and not destiny anymore. Like at which point, does destiny stop being destiny? when it becomes star wars. because at that point its star wars. I never thought destiny to be heavily inspired by Star wars and more borderlands meets halo with some western or medival influences.

But like.. Star Wars is like fundamentally different in almost every way. So eh.. dont know how i feel about this.

I love Star Wars and I love Destiny. But it makes zero sense to have the universes and lore crossed over for an expansion and possibly beyond.

This is the beginning of the end of Destiny 2's identity.

The Dev team are in a position to create new stories, new characters and new galaxies. Its Sci-Fi for god sake the possibilities are endless in this genre and it feels like they are just being lazy AF like they always are, instead of making something original they just went and got a licence to a bigger IP for cross over. Its feels cheap and embarrassing, it's an insult to the fans who have kept this game on life support for years.

Hell it would have made more sense for us to stumble upon a HALO and have an entire expansion around that then this.

What's next? A Marvel cross over? What about XUR's magical mystery my little pony cross over coming 2026 perhaps?

Absolute joke of a company.
