In fact they're still doing the exact same model as seasons, you get a plot, you do two maybe three missions, and then you wait a week for next plotpoint while dealing with a cliffhanger.
Ever since Seasonal Pass became a thing, or we have to pay 15usd for each season pass just for additional rewards or weapons earlier, or since Lightfall's launch or Beyond Light's launch, this is when you realized the anti-consumer games?
It feels like all the hype came and gone and now we're just waiting another 16 days and if that works for some people cool. I'm glad. I am just exhausted of the aforementioned activities and feel like with all there is in The Pale Heart that there could be so much more to do with open public activities. I find that to be the most fun and engaging. You don't need a clan, you don't have to worry about people running way ahead of you or trying to show off and kill as many enemies as possible and never reviving you for 30s so they can get their Champion or their kills. Just fun open public events with lots of fun new mechanics and crazy tough bosses that no one player can simply just blow out of the water no matter how high their level is or how powerful they are it would literally require the coordination of a good 2 or more handfuls of public players.
More challenges and rotating even. Come on I challenge you devs to create something exotic and new! I don't care about new weapons or gear anymore. I just want to have fun extreme engaging events that are just a heck of a show and play out for a good 15 to 20 minutes. That kind of stuff. That is fun.
Onslaught and all that, has grown stale as well. I just can't get excited for much at this point.
I hope there is more in store than they're leading on. I really do.
Anyone who was expecting a constant conveyer belt of content is deluded. They just did a massive content drop, arguably the biggest in D2 history, we can take 2 weeks off the video game

Been doing it on and off for years... PvE and PvP are pretty heavily seperated now
