There's a lot of people in here complaining about the sunsetting that won't happen anytime soon for recent dlcs and content, Bungo needs to keep the game file size down. how do you do that in a huge game? getting rid of older content. Bungo sees how this will effect the game (they've definitely learned their lesson with sunset weapons) so they're trying to compensate players with forsaken ciphers/free golf balls. Also if you've cleared the campaign and done everything you have done with it, why care about the thing you haven't cared about for a solid year leaving. At this point it looks like pure sentimental behavior.

It's not about the fact they're removing content but more that they're bringing it back down the road and ask money for it again while you're playing the same crucible maps for the 4th year in a row.

I love Destiny since D1 day 1. But now its just a cash grab... No real content is added to the game, dungeons are now dlc for the next expansions. I've collected everything in the game so it feels dead to me :(.

Of course they have access to the Halo IP. Bungo still own Halo you dolt. But they're not about to put assets from an IP that's still alive and well today into another game.
