A quick double tap will give you max height. Leaving more time between jumps will give you a more horizontal boost. I'd recommend burst glide as the others are a bit slow.
So jump upwards and look upwards and activate it and you will soar.
It's really the only thing preventing me from playing the class more.
It's just practice and familiarity. You'll find that warlock mains will generally tell you that it's the best jump in the game and everyone else HATES it.
It took me the better part of 45 minutes to find this post for this tip. I tried everything I could imagine to try and get that orb. With these tips, it only took 3 or 4 tries.
Thank you so much for this.
I look at that as a good thing, not a problem, if used in the right situations. For example it makes it easy to glide into doors or openings that are at a lower level. Just time the second jump as you start to drop and glide down without having to jump up and gliding into a wall or having to cancel the glide and dropping (and then fall into a chasm or something).
Warlock jump is amazing.
