Plus, if you could equip all exotics, then everyone would have only exotics equipped. This would ruin legendary gear, and really reduce the variation in player appearance, as there are a very limited number of exotics. Everyone would just look the same
The current model is great, so get used to it.
I disagree because no matter the exotic, it does not make you over powerful or anything like that so I think it would be perfectly fine because it is weapon dependant...
What is the reason to have rare/uncommon gear in the game, if everyone just use legend instead?
You must not have looked over the abilities of every exotic then. If you could wear several, some of their effects would feed into each other, increasing your power exponentially.
To deconstruct for parts to turn in for legendary gear, of course!
Toxic much?
Gear fine but weapons should not be limited to just one.
I’ve not played any game with this silly mechanic. Heck even Diablo 3 allowed any gear to go on any slot no matter what and had buffs to other sets so yeah.
It just says a lot but what about doing a trial to see how it goes for a month you know.
PvP blows anyway.
Let me put it this way. Say... I'm a nightstalker.
Weapons:
Kinetic: Monte Carlo
Energy: Eriana's Vow
Heavy: let's say... Leviathan's Breath
Armour:
Helm: Wormhusk Crown
Gauntlets: Khepri's Sting, heck even Oathkeeper for the bow charge
Armour: i dunno, say Gwisin Vest, or even Sixth Coyote which works well with wormhusk
Legs: hell, it can be stompees or Orpheus Rig
Class item: oh lord, thank you for not having class item exotic.
^ jesus, dude, you have no idea what you're asking. The point of the one exotic in weapon and armour slot is to be able to find the best exotic for your build and not just end up having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ op build. While yes, they kinda suck at making sure all exotics have equal uses, truth is, they still all have their uses.
See that example build? Wormhusk lets you gain some health back and overshield and partnering that with sixth coyote, which gives you double dodge, is just too much already and that's not even getting into the mods which can reduce class ability cooldowns. Monte carlo pretty much gives you your melee back faster than your class ability would with mods as long as you hit and kill enemies with it. I can't even begin to explain eriana's vow and leviathan's breath. Yes, leviathan's breath has quite a long draw time but in certain situations, it's good. Seeing the crit on it just makes you go wtf. I mean, that 'exotic build' is something i came up from the top of my head, I can't even begin to imagine what others would make up with it.
Bottom line is, the point of having one exotic in weapon and in armour slot is because bungie wants you to have an edge on what build you might be cooking up, not be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god in all game mode.
The armor restriction makes total sense. It's the weapon one that doesn't. How is your suggested weapon loadout scenario OP in any way? Exotic weapon perks rarely, if ever, carry over when switching weapons, and exotics like Sturm would actually be hindered by having 3 exotics equipped.
