I linked my d2 account to an old steam account now deleted, and now that I have a new pc I really don't wanna restart on d2 and just have my character datas and everything but I cant unlink my account on the bungie website because i have to first authenticate it and now im stuck not knowing what to do

You will have to contact Steam support to see if they can recover the deleted account for you. If Steam support will not recover the deleted account, you are stuck with that Steam account attached to your Bungie.net account.

For security reasons, Bungie cannot unlink any platform account no matter what. See the information below.

Destiny Player Support and Bungie cannot modify or remove accounts linked to Bungie.net profiles.

To protect player privacy and data, you must be able to log in to any linked accounts to prove ownership prior to modifying your linked account. If you no longer have access to a linked account, you will need to reach out to the specific platform’s support for assistance with account recovery options.
