- If you like or want the emblem for legend WQ completion
- If you want the throne world title (I think it requires this)
- If you want to get one of the exotic armors without needing to do lost sectors or incursions
- If you want the additional upgrade modules from the second chest in each campaign encounter
With that said, WQ is the best campaign that Destiny ever got, so its really worth considering playing it in whichever way you find to be the most fun for the first playthrough.
Do not claim an exotic reward if you haven't obtained it from a legend lost sector or vex Incursion public event first. The WQ campaign version has low stats and I don't think Bungie changed that like in Lightfall campaign. Even if they did, exotics have a knockout system. i.e. you always get new exotics until you unlock everything. You'll miss your chance for a better roll if you unlock an exotic as campaign reward.
