Strict NAT type
Hey y'all. Windows 10 recently updated on my PC and after the update Destiny keeps telling me that my home network is configured with a "Strict NAT" type.

So far I've tried setting up a DMZ, and that did not work, and I'm not sure if I even did it correctly. I am also not confident about some things like Static IP addresses because I don't live alone, and I'm afraid to ♥♥♥♥ something up completely. I'm also afraid to turn on UPnP, since my router's webpage kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suсks? Not sure if it's secure or not.

I don't think the Windows update is at fault, since everything else is working perfectly, and I can play other online games with no issue.

I'm not very savvy with network problems, does anyone have a possible solution?

My router is a Mi Router AC2100(R2100) (Chinese piece of shie lol)

There are several methods to modify your NAT type, but the simplest involves network discovery. The others are a bit more complex, ill add a link to a article covering a few options.

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-change-nat-type-on-windows-pc

Open Control Panel from the Start menu
Click on Network & Internet, then on Network and Sharing Centre
Now, click on Change advanced sharing settings on the left side panel
Now, check the button beside Turn on network discovery and Save changes at the bottom

See, I don't get Cabbage or Currant, and everything seems to be completely fine performance-wise. It's just this - matchmaking does not work at all, there are no people anywhere in the game, and I get Centipede when I load the game, and Mongoose when I try to launch Iron Banner. The NAT type is also showing as Strict in my game, so idk what is wrong with my game..
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I tried №1, not sure if I did it right, and I did №2, which didn't work, am too dumb to make №3 work, and don't know how to work №4 with my router.

I got another question, could Kaspersky affect this at all? I'm using Kaspersky Standard.
