Wym by losing the need? Those are the best ways to get the golfballs and such.
"ensuring that players feel like their time is valued" my foot.
This is a good change. This needs to happen and was always going to happen. This is the Destiny 3'ing of D2 to make it more entry level. This is in the same vein as deprecating destination materials. This makes the game economy simplified and less painful for the havenots and ultimately changes nothing for the haves.
That said, I have a real problem with just the TAKE away and not rewarding, Bungie.
Deprecating materials players have worked for and then made them useful for glimmer is an acknowledgement for having earned them. Their exchange for a resource that is being thrown at you is STILL something, even if it is at a massively reduced value. It is not a viable option for Legendary Shards. They need to be wholesale removed in a definite and complete change to the game.
But GIVE us something.
You are giving us nothing, but their removal.
The vast majority of players and gameplay will be positively improved by this change.
But GIVE us something.
Previously on the last entry of the first page of the Eververse store you have put a One Time collectible for Bright Dust. Why not do so now? Not an exchange; an acknowledgement. For the community, for your gamers.
This is not a slippery slope situation of bowing to a Bright Dust drop for game changes or tweeks. This case is nothing less than a CORE and FUNDAMENTAL game change with nothing but loss on previous worked for resources.
So GIVE us something.
A flat rate One Time Eververse store Bright Dust drop celebrating the improvement of the game and as an acknowledgement of the removal of a base staple of Destiny 2 gameplay of 2000 Bright Dust.
Please make our hours feel valued and not TAKE from us for nothing, Bungie.
Looks like they trying to equalize engram costs, but yes its a insane amount for those modes.
You should do the same.
you'd think virtual currencies are immune to that
(also now you gotta farm 3 heroic public events to focus one gun instead of being able to stockpile glimmer)
Im soo happy I still have 300 rainmakers. Have saved me a ton on glimmer needs. Now shall be even more useful.
32/50 are already taken. to fill one slot with raid banners it costs 300 shards. 6000 shards for 20 slots full of raid banners and i'd be completely full. (i have 40k shards rn)
