I'm confused some help please

Playing this on epic, i don't have latest pack only rest is there. What i don't understand is, i can buy latest when im there that's fine but some people say you need season passes as well because of dungeons and raids. I'm confused, buying latest pack is not enough? do i have purchase seasonal pass every time its available to reach end game content? How does it work thanks.

Season passes allow you to have the season's quest and anything with it, unless you bought the deluxe edition of the current expansion, you will not get them and need to buy them individually.

Some Dungeons required Dungeon Keys - (Duality + Spire of the Watched are from the Witch Queen Dungeon Key. Ghosts of the Deep + Warlords Ruin are from the Lightfall Dungeon Key). Shattered Throne (Forsaken) and Pit of Heresy (Shadowkeep) are expansion tied. Grasp of Avarice is tied to a separate expansion, that is not story related. Prophecy is free.

Raids come with the expansion. Last Wish (Forsaken), Garden of Salvation (Shadowkeep), Deep Stone Crypt (Beyond Light), Vow of the Disciple (Witch Queen), Root of Nightmares (Lightfall). Crota's End, Kings Fall and Vault of Glass are free.

The season pass will give you access to the current seasonal activity. Without it you can only access expansion activities. The current season gives you access to The Coil and Riven's Lair activities as well as the Starcrossed exotic mission.

Lightfall on its own will give you access to the Root of Nightmares raid. Raids and dungeons have never been bundled with season passes. In the past three years, Bungie has reprised an old raid from Destiny 1 for free in the middle of the year. These reprised raids are free for everyone (Vault of Glass, King's Fall and Crota's End).

Dungeons are not included with the season pass. Those are acquired by the Dungeon Keys, which are either bundled with the Annual Pass version OR can be bought from the in-game store. It costs 2000 silver for each one.

The Witch Queen dungeon key will give you access to the Spire of the Watcher and Duality dungeons. Unfortunately, this is no longer bundled with anything else and must be bought from the in-game store.

Lightfall dungeon key will give you access to Ghosts of the Deep and Warlord's Ruin. This is currently bundled with the Lightfall Annual Pass.

Dungeons are optional three man activities. How you value them is up to you; however, they are pretty fun to run and feature unique weapons to obtain. If you have not played a dungeon before, I highly suggest trying out Prophecy under the Legends tab since it is free and it also just got a loot refresh last month.
