As for LFG, that is valid but at the same time the same issue will occur and what would be the point of mm? I'm looking to get into games and play them as I don't have much time with life and everything else.
I can't sit and wait for 20-30 minutes to fill when I only have 30 minutes to an hour a day to play. This is the reason MM was created decades ago in the 2000s with Halo 2 so people can play rather than have to wait with what limited time they have.
And many f2p games have consequences for people leaving as it’s more common with minimal “skin” in the game, this is why games like OW and other games have penalties and even player rating so people who do that are matched with one another and actual players who want to play the game aren’t harmed for it. I’ve had numerous times I’ve waited upwards of 30 minutes waiting in the past to the point I have no wish to try their system again with my limited time, and the discord lfg is a fiasco between the finding groups that will play who aren’t kids and have mics as well as the channel not bugging out. Poor experiences led to no using either of those anymore.
These consequences don’t need to be major but making a chronic leaver wait for 10-15 minutes and increasing the amount per instance of leaving is fair for other players.
