Text Chat Off/Not appearing

I've checked everything i can , turning on/off on the menu , Voice chat doesn't work as well and the chat box doesn't appears even if i try pressing L (turning on/off)

I've been having this problem since the guardian games patch released. Have you had any luck with it?

That's right, have the same problem after the update! I don't have voice and text chat anymore, no matter if it's on or off, the Destiny app doesn't access the HS anymore. Was still in the game in the morning, everything still worked, after the 100 MB update nothing works anymore. I have now uninstalled the game and will not play it again.

The game isn't bad, but Bungie itself is unsustainable! You can't even change your region and age, there's no setting for that on the Bungie site. And since the in-game chat doesn't work and the voice chat doesn't work either, the game is no longer useful for me. But that's not bad in the end, I wouldn't have bought the next expansion anyway, like many others. Bungie has simply lied to and ignored players too many times!

For me it has seemed to be an issue with bungies age verification. This causes your phone number to no longer be registered which in turn breaks the social features of the game. After submitting a ticket and verifying my age it allowed me to verify my number which has seemed to fix my issues.

i have the sme bug i did submit a ticket about it a week ago but they didnt answer. game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

So i found the solution bungie said this to me: More than likely the issue you're experiencing is related to our new date of birth system. To investigate your issue further, we require more information. Please attach a valid government-issued photo ID. We require a valid government-issued photo ID to confirm the personal information you want rectified. Once we confirm the information, your ID will be removed from our stored data and, if you are a minor, your ticket and other personal information will be removed entirely from our ticketing database.

Please reply to this email with the needed photo ID. We cannot proceed with your request until we have confirmed your personal information.
