One question? What do we do after Destiny2?

Hey guardian,

I've been on Steam for a long time and in 2012 I had a longer break because I wasn't really motivated to play.
To be honest, some personal things came up, but that shouldn't be a reason to stop a gamer from pursuing his passion completely.
Every now and then I followed the news on Steam and I noticed Destiny1 on the internet, but then I lost sight of it because other things were important in my private life.
At the end of 2018 and the purchase of new hardware, the attraction to gaming caught me again and I wanted to see what had become of Destiny1.
Destiny2 was there.
Ok, I thought, now at least give Destiny2 a try.
What can I say, wow, it has a lot of things I like except for PvP (I'll make an exception for Gambit because I like that too).
The story captivated me, the attraction of upgrading yourself and weapons in a fictional syfy world was great. Soon, however, my favourite game, which has been with me for years now, is coming to an end (but I hope it will be years before it goes offline).
Now I ask myself what should replace it?
At the moment I can't see anything comparable.
A lot of it is PvP, nothing for me.
Since I'm into SyFy or at least the present, a lot of things are out of the question anyway.
So what do I or like-minded people do then?
Speaking for myself, I honestly don't know.
Maybe I need a break again to discover something new in the future that captivates me and draws me in.
Like Destiny2.

Just to clarify your post, are you looking for game recommendations or for recommendations within Destiny 2?

There really isn't anything quite exactly like it, but any of the closer alternatives being mentioned in the D2 forums is frowned upon. Really not the place to ask, expect some deleted comments from those less careful about the guidelines.

theres a new D2 expansion coming out later this year

bungie's new game Marathon is also coming this year!

if you haven't already, you've got to try warframe. it's a bit more fantasy than scifi, but has lots of elements of both

the gameplay in warframe is also much much more in depth than in warframe, because there are so many different characters with their own abilities, tons of different weapons that all do different things, and many ways to modify and upgrade everything. the gunplay is also much more diverse and unique, which is something destiny totally lacks, so i consider that a win on warframe's side

the game also has zero focus on pvp, even less than destiny, so you can take your time progressing through the game and powering up at your own pace. it's the only game i've played more than destiny because there's something about perfecting a build on a character or weapon that you can't find in any other game

but it's very "anti cooperative", because outside of general matchmaking for missions the game never really pushes players to play together, and no mission requires you to team up with anyone. personally i don't mind that but some people do, so destiny wins if you want a more team focused game
