but read this; it's a long, tiring, and annoying road to run the grind for the right gear if you want to do the whole game as a solo player
what i'm suggest is do the grind with friends or clanmates if you joined any
You dont have to do any of the mandatory mic-on activities like raids you have to learn, a lot of the matchmaking stuff can be learned by just doing and watching the others.
The missions and bounties and all that can be done solo can also consume a good amount of time, there is absolutely no need to sweat and rush and play this with others to speed things up.
It's not going to be like an Elder Scrolls game, due to the setup of this game being some sort of a semi-MMO, but as I said, for a lot of stuff, and i mean a LOT of stuff, you dont need to play with others.
And before you realize it you will see yourself enjoying playing with OTHERS and before you do a double take and look twice, you will play raids with 5 other people, enjoying all the MMO aspects. Happened to me like that too. Introduced by friends, played solo, then started doing more MP activities, then the first Mic-on voice communication activities and now I'm doing it all from PVP to 6 man raids.
The best advice I can give is download and try the free to play content and see what you think. I can't say what you will think of this game.
open world might work-lost sectors if you are patient but legendaries? rather not, need a certain powerlevel.
overall the f2p demo, bc the game is not truly f2p unless you pay for some season pass+ dlcs requires you to grind less bc there is less you are allowed to do.
just try it casually, im fine with loggin in even though craftings a tad weird.
Unless you are some kind of cracked god then you can do dungeons and nightfalls alone (i did solo flawless 2 dungeons and i gotta say it's hard) but for raids you will still need a team because they are centered around doing mechanics that can only be done with multiple people.
The only way you will have trouble as a solo player is if you absolutely cannot use LFG for whatever reason.
