How do I consistently get exotic gear

I am a f2p player and only at 1780 light level, does anyone know of any ways for me to grind out exotics. The guardian games strike has been pretty effective so far

Do starhorse bounties for dares of eternity. each one takes a single 10 min game (actually each one MUST be done in a single game)
these bounties all give 'paraversal hauls'- these have a really generous chance to give exotics. I think i saved up 14 or so from doing the bounties on all 3 characters one day, and got 1-2 exotics out of it. youll also build up xur rep if you take his bounties so then you can reset the rank at 17 to get an exotic engram.

a slower way is to grind gambit on weeks where double points is on (such as next week). it takes like 20 games to max out gambit on these weeks and each reset after the first gives an exotic engram.

Xur is also a weekly vendor who sells preset exotics plus the engram if you wanna complete your collection of the basic exotics you can find him at where is xur .com hes @ winding cove in EDZ rn.

yeah rtn i just want gyfalcons chestplate for a build but in general i wanna get a bunch of exotics so in the future i can do any build i want

Gyrfalcon's Hauberk is a reward from Legendary Lost sectors. If you want it, you must run them on "chest" day.

Have to admit I have had very little exotic wise from dares, a lot of mine simply drop in normal gameplay

not sure your LL but its double drops for NFs this week, i get 2 exotics for my platinum GM completions.
