for pvp, duality, felwinters
for pve, erianas + lucky pants for bosses, prometheus/ retraced path for ad clear
Ah, I should probably specify I'm looking for PVE Solar Specials lol, and I am also using Strand Titan.
On any class, trace rifle/disorienting grenades GL is an incredible combo. Retraced path (from Dares) or Acasia's Dejection for your energy, and Pardon Our Dust (from Dares) with disorienting grenades as kinetic. Leaves the exotic slot open for any heavy you want.
Hm, I'll look into it, I've been looking for an excuse to craft a Retraced. If only there was a Strand Grenade Launcher.
Lord of Wolves with catalyst can provide high results in Release mode, but you have to crit which is impossible with that spread, unless it's a very big weakspot or divinity bubble, the range is also much lower.*
Duality is good as a slug, even better if you can stack Black Wings before DPS. 55% buff at x5 is resfreshed when you crit with slug. Might be too much work though.
Cascade Point Ikelos SG is decent enough, but it's hard to find a pair and make it work. You will also need a fast reload source or holster mods. Trench and 1-2 Punch are better on shotguns with slower fire rate. Surrounded is probably the best if you can activate it.
Royal Executioner is ok with Reservoir Burst, but only when overflowed.
*I forgot they reverted[www.bungie.net] spread changes and LoW is actually usable now.
