Sword Dance Cyst quest bugged?
I'm going to hope this is bugged with the light shielded enemies and how even after you take out those shields with the sword the sword is still the only thing that hurts them. Because I've reached the part where you're in a tiny thunderdome with 3 hive lightbearers with the light shields, and apparently the only thing that hurts them is this stupid sword which doesn't even have a range option to it.

This is not possible.

This cyst is pure garbage to do solo, when you reach the bosses you can only damage/kill them with that stupid sword which cannot even block LOL.

It is not fun, but I've been through it a few times now so here's what I'd suggest. Stunlock them with the heavy attack, also the sword has its own super meter with a super slam attack that will do massive damage. You can hide back up where you jumped down from, to wait out their own super moves and let the sword super charge up again.

nope, not a bug... it is intended that you can only use the sword. when i did it, i just went down to the lowest level of that room when i needed to recover health and just waited for the sword's super to charge. the lucent hive guardians don't seem to come down there. the wizard might get line of sight on you sometimes, but its easy enough to just run behind a pillar so it can't hit you. after the sword super is charged, just run up to one of them and activate it the same way you would a subclass super and you will do a big slam on it and do a big chunk of damage. then just rinse repeat.

it was tedious but not difficult with that method. they won't take very many hits per enemy if you slam them with the super either; 2 or 3 each.

I did it multiple times. You can run away to cover and get your health back. You can stun lock them to death with the heavy slam. You can even drop the sword and cast something like silence and squal to freeze them for an easy cleanup. It's also not respawn restricted so you can keep reviving until they are all toast. Wait till you get to the one with the lucent moths, that was pain.

yeah the moth cave just feels like a huge trolling

It is possible

Also yes, the sword is the only thing that damages them, it's not a bug

Also understanding how to separate them and taking them out one at a time is important

It's actually really easy. The super on the sword does 2/3 of the boss hives health and then you finish them off with a light light heavy combo and that usually does it.

Apologies for being dim, but what does this mean? I mean, the 'light light heavy' bit? I'm not 100% sure about the sword super either, but I'm gonna try and work that out myself ... 😆

The left mouse button (primary fire) does a light attack, the right mouse button (ADS) does a heavy attack. If you are on the ground and do a sword combo with a light attack followed but another light attack and then finishing with a heavy attack you will do an uppercut with the relic instead of a slam and it does a lot of damage.

Thanks for that! Much appreciated. I'm using a controller and these combinations are not always intuitive (RB, RB, RT in this case). Anyway, once I'd figured out how to use the sword super, everything was over and done with pretty quickly 🙂
