Dual Destiny - My Opinion and feedback
Bungie,

I applaud your efforts to make the game more exciting and introducing a game changing concept of multi-armor based Exotic abilities. This will bring Guardians to a truly transcendent level of previously untold power. It seems awesome on it's surface. Unfortunately I doubt I (or a fair number of players) will ever get to experience it.

First, why hide this quest behind some weird hidden set of circumstances? It should be an obvious mission. This isn't some easter-egg/title/triumph or gimmicky weapon or something. This is a massive game changing item. It is probably the biggest change in Destiny's power and build capabilities ever.

I'm ok with a co-op mission now that you've finally included in game LFG. I'm even ok with typing "Triangle, Witness, Witchqueen, squiggle line shape thing" in chat (I do not own a mic.) Had to do the same kind of thing in Starcrossed. What I'm NOT ok with is the damn timer. There is absolutely NOTHING fun about rushing or feeling rushed in puzzle content like this, especially when teamwork is required.

Please consider removing the timer element from the first run of this quest. Feel free to add it for people who are trying to farm and perhaps toss in a higher chance of getting a dual exotic item (not guaranteed on reruns). Or just make the timer for a legendary (Expert now?) difficulty with even higher increased chances of loot (but still not guaranteed).

I am old, stubborn. I have old and stubborn friends. We have an hour or two maybe once a week to beat our heads against a mission and die over and over trying different things. What I don't have time for is getting 3/4 through and running out of time wasting ~30mins of my life because of some stupid nonsense timer. This isn't Breakneck, stuff isn't exploding all around us. A timer in this mission makes no sense. Timers are not fun, it's not really a game mechanic challenge, it's just GD infuriating and makes me want to not play. There is no benefit in failing this way. Checkpoint resets due to no-respawn should be punishment enough and allows you to learn the part you're struggling with.

Please STOP using timers in missions that it doesn't make sense to use. It doesn't increase the difficulty in a game mechanic way really, it just makes it un-fun and demoralizing to get in sight of the end over and over and just fail. "Git Gud" isn't fun when it's presented in this way.

I agree with everything you said.

The timer literally can reach a total 40+ minutes, if you can't clear it with that generous amount of time then don't do it.

The 'Quest' the Exotics were hidden behind weren't even that well hidden, all of the steps that needed to be done were found within hours of when they were added,

What happens if both fire team members die,? Is that a kick to orbit like the extinguisher modifier? Or just a timer to self revive ,,?

Timer to self revive, I don't believe there are any darkness zones.

Ok

Can I ask is the class item a pinnacle drop the first time per week ?
Worira Jun 13, 2024 @ 11:07pm
I think it's powerful but not pinnacle, but I don't know for sure.
