Do I need Lightfall to use the LIghtfall Dungeon Key?

I don't care to play through Lightfall. I want to play the new dungeon because of the callback to D1. Will the Dungeon Key work still?

probably not they are 2 seperate dlc,s if so you probably wouldnt be able to buy the key if you dont own the dlc for it

I think it will work.
My reasoning is, I logged into a F2P account and went to the store, it just says the key is 2,000 silver. Makes no mention of not having Lightfall.

No, you can purchase the Dungeon Key regardless of whether or not you own the expansion itself. The naming is just to differentiate between different Dungeon Keys and indicate the included content.

i still think its stupid and unnecessary that dungeons have to be bought extra now instead of them being part of the said dlc,s like it used to be...

Dungeons now include quite a bit more than they did back then:

• Every dungeon since Prophecy has included it's own set of armour.
  
• Every dungeon since Grasp of Avarice has included a Master version and access to Artifice armour.
  
• Every dungeon since Duality has included both an exotic weapon and a title.

And we now get all that twice a year not just once. You don't have to like the monetisation but charging for them separately from the expansion was completely justified compared to what we got with a dungeon when they were included with the expansion.

[/quote]20€ is way too mouch for a dungeon i would atleast charge maybe 5-10 for it XD i rather saf e up a bit more for a dlc or a whole different game xd
