so how do i get exotics like bakris and calibans hand?

i read online that i have to solo legend and master lost sectors when they say exotic armor piece, however the past 3 only give ascendant shards? is exotic rewards no longer a thing?

Lost Sector Exotics, on top of only dropping if you do Legend Lost Sectors/Master Lost Sectors solo, are also RNG. You could have one drop after 1 run, or after 4 runs, or you might not get any at all until dozens of runs in (I remember it took me like 24 runs of Chamber of Starlight before I got Abeyant Leap to drop on my Titan. Literally the only Exotic I had drop that entire time as well).

You can also do Vex Incursion public events on Neomuna. They are rare and spawn randomly, but if you complete one, you are guaranteed to not only get an exotic, but one you do not have, AND their loot pool includes the Legendary Lost Sector exotics.

There's a Discord you can join to get alerted when they spawn, and I highly recommend it. I like the Legendary Lost Sector idea, but the issue is you could get an exotic, or upgrade materials, or nothing. But if you do the Vex Incursion event, you ALWAYS get an exotic and a Terminal Overload key, every single time. For me, the sporadic spawn rate of the event is an acceptable trade-off for its reward.
