I have never played a raid before
Is it possible to solo a raid? cause tbh i have anxiety talking to people i don't know & i don't want someone going through the effort to carry me through the raid because i don't want to be annoying & it takes me awhile to learn things cause im just stupid in general but yeah, just wondering if its possible to solo a raid.

By design, no.

By utilizing heavy amounts of glitches and mechanics that random players like us won't know how to utilize properly without extensive practice, Root of Nightmares can be.

Raids are designed for 6 ... Dungeons are designed for 3.

They're still extremely difficult, but ... people do solo them.
You can also practice on Lost Sectors, run the Legendary and Master versions.

Ive only done grasp of averice dungeon but i havent done any other, does dungeons give better weapons? or raids? & i might actually try practice in lost sectors, sounds like a good way to practice

just grab a mic and get a team of 6. Everyone has their first run, and you also have the option to watch a walkthrough before the raid, if getting carried is your concern.

If you want the solo raid experience, try the opening 3 encounters of Vault of Glass. Root of Nightmares solo is extremely difficult and probably the hardest challenge in the game (as a full run, each encounter is a relatively easy raid solo). Vog, however, is very easy by comparison. With some decent add clear and xenophage, you can easily solo the first 3 parts of it for an intro into mechanic-centric gameplay to help encourage you to join groups. Also, i certainly know how difficult it can be to talk to people sometimes, but its overblown how much communication a raid needs. There are only a couple encounters in the whole game where everyone needs to talk, and most encounters only require a couple of people talking. You can join plenty of RoNs without comms, there's nothing to say in that raid. Most important, though, is don't expect people to teach you. Everyone is willing to help you and give reminders on what to do, but much fewer people are interested in fully teaching someone an encounter. It's worth watching a guide before attempting a raid, and even if you don't remember it all, you'll remember enough that you'll be able to ask concise questions about what you don't understand, which people will gladly answer.

you really don't need a mic for raiding, my team did vow of the disciple (probably the most callout heavy raid) without mics and we first tried every encounter. You just need to find the right team.

D2Sancutary don't require mic, it's even on their front page "The home for voiceless guardians."

I'm (almost) always the one talking the most in raids, since I'm the sherpa in most of my runs, so I've never heard of D2Sanctuary, but it sounds nice.
