See the issue here is that Destiny 2 is a Looter Shooter and thinking about what gun to bring into a fight is the essence of this game.
Would a sniper rifle be worth using if it could not one shot?
I personally have come to loathe all gaming snipers in pvp over the years, because for the most part the only real counter is another sniper. However the fix for destiny will not be to remove the ability to one shot.
The point of special ammo is to be stronger but limited. If it had to 2 shot headshot it would be worthless.
Snipers just have a really high skill ceiling and reward so when a new player joins (any pvp game) and fights a skilled player, its not gonna be fun no matter the loadout.
Also, it is much more skillful to use a sniper than a auto or whatever. Although I hate snipers as it basically tells everyone else "you have to play my way", they aint like aping with a shotgun and take brainpower. An auto or smg allows you to miss. Thats why low fire rate weapons normally have faster ttk because each shot is a bigger risk.
Dont accuse them of computer aim assist when everyone gets the same benefit. (minus pc vs console, but thats why they have separate pvp pools)
