How bad can RNG be?

I love doing 15 intros to do GotD, then 12 boss clears and get 4 rocket launchers, about 10 GL and a whole lot of armour... fun? Is this rocket really so hard to get, and I have an Apex Predator so is it even worth it at this point?

apex seems to bee the meta along with dragons breath these days, so i would say that your time could be spent doing other things.

wich brings me to my "grind objective"

the ros arago. i did get some of them, and deleted them, before i found out that its actually not bad at all, and on top of that i could use another void AR besides the gnawing hunger ( wich i still love but its showing its age). there is however the positivee outlook and the age old bond, but holy ssmokes, i want a 600 RPM AR, not a slower one.

now here is my issue: it doesnt seem to drop anymore at all... i have grinded above 20 hours this week to get one from various sources. some say to go for gunsmith engrams, others say to farm the shattered throne end boss, even strikes are mentioned, but nope....
did all of those and no drops, not a single one.

im beginning to think that it got removed from this weeks world drop loot pool and im basicly chasing a ghost at this point.
guess ill find out tonight afteer reset, and hopefully some start dropping.

I have basically 99% of the guns that I want, but Cold Comfort is just to check off that list. I am one of those "get every gun even if it's mid, cause it might be useful in a Day 1 Raid" person, so that probably will explain a lot. For Ros Arago, I got one the other day with Repulsor and Onslaught, which with Gyerfalcon really puts in work. Ig grinding is giving me something to do, especially since we got 4.5 more months until TFS.

27 encounter clears, cold comfort is a 1/6 from both, that's an estimated return of 4.5 drops. RNG is being pretty normal to you. If you want to farm it quicker, just abuse the first boss, it's not worth doing intro due to how quickly the boss falls over to stuff like strand titan

It took me over 100 clears of the Scourge of the Past raid to finally get a sparrow out of there.

If it makes you feel any better, I have 2,000 hours in this game and have never done a single raid or dungeon because ... friends...

I was farming the final boss last night, got rockets only from there, about 6 in total dropped. I did I did about 30 runs of of it, and got constant GL drops.

Update: Did runs on every character, still no rocket. I've done GotD about 45 times now.

4 weeks repeat pinnacles of everything except the last pinnacle i need to get to 1810
Also about same time i get imperial decree 100% of the time on all characters when trying to get the class specific sword
I gave up on this trap-crap game.
Honestly at this point fortnite is better

Idk, I've been doing vanguard strikes which have weapons and exotic listed for drops but all I ever get are enhancement cores.

i know whats going now; bungie clearly nerfed the drop rate so bad, thinking: "ehm, the players need something to hunt for while we work on the next expansion".

for me this is now week 3 without a single drop of ros arago.
i mean, i dont mind grinding for something, but not a single drop in 2 weeks of literally spamming multiple activities to only see one drop and still nothing, this is not only getting frustrating, but its turning into pure madness.
