How do people play this game on AMD?
Ever since i switched to AMD 2 years ago i cant play this game without big fps spikes, no matter the settings.

6950xt is my card, but i heard other AMD people cant play this either, i dont understand how this is still a thing

user or some driver error. 5800x3d and bottom garbage tier 7600 8gb card here and game runs 700 fps unlocked. Lots of reasons for spikes, but in a game as old as this, your gpu and cpu probably isn't the issue.

6750XT here and when I did play was smooth unless the server died.

Did you switch from another card? Did you switch from nVidia? What CPU are you running? What's your RAM situation?

For reference, I'm running a 7900XT and a ryzen 9 7900 wtih 32GB 6000MhzRAM and everything maxed at 1440p and doing just fine at 110fps with no drops :)

Running 110fps solid (like my 1% lows are high 90's, so the framerate is super solid) is totally acceptable with everything maxed out including AA @1440p

But back on topic...

Have you done a full clean driver install?

Uninstall your current drivers, run DDU to make sure it wipes out everything

Boot into safe mode, download the latest drivers

Restart machine and then see what's going on?

If that doesn't work, try running like MSI afterburner, what is your CPU/GPU usage? Temperatures?
