Red border weapons

So, what did they do this time?, I'm a returning player and I've been farming red border weapons for 2 weeks now, mind you, I have a full time job and a bit of a social life, not a single drop, same with my friends playing with me, none, nada. It was not like this when they first introduced them (I had the same time to play back then), I could farm and get some, did they nerf the drop rate to be practical nothing now?, the only way I got 2, was doing the weakly campaign mission getting over 100k points. Can someone confirm?

If you're specifically talking about the Neomuna craftable weapons, they're kinda just a pain in the ass. People grinded them out and got them within the first couple days of Lightfall, Bungie didn't like that so they buried the drop rates. Don't think any other set of craftables were as bad as those, and that's coming from someone that's got all the raid weapon patterns.

I want to say that my deepsight drops have been a lot less and a lot more infrequent when farming a raid or even doing a non-rotation raid. I'm fairly sure that Bungie did something to the code so that we'd be forced to farm more during this 7 month season. Same with armor focusing, it used to be fairly valid but this season I've been getting almost 90% below 65 rolls with terrible distribution even with a ghost shell mod equipped.

heh, dont get me started on red borders... this is now week 3 of me trying to get red borders titan class sword.
i have the huntard one, and the warlock one, but the titan one just aint dropping.
now here is the sad part: i need season of the defiant engrams to get a chance and roll it in the helm, where i get 3 options:
Get the red border sword.
get the non red border sword.
get the shotgun.

im not kidding when i tell you that i have deleted over 50-60 shotguns and over 40 non red border swords, and dont even start on the red borders from dares... thank god i got those done.

at this time im starting to think that im only going to get 1 red border per week, sad, i know, and im starting to go mental at this stage.
i hope i can get it done this week, as im tired of running defiant battlegrounds like a headless chicken.

Yes! The titan sword has to be the worst for some reason. Farming legend lost sectors seemed to be the best way, you get 2-ish per run and some can be done in under a minute. It's how I got them back in Defiance/Deep.

I don't remember whether or not you still get defiance/deep seasonal engrams from activity completions, but the fastest way to farm them by far back then was to just farm the final boss of the Shattered Throne dungeon with one person holding the checkpoint. Can kill the boss in less than 20 seconds and you got 1-2 of each engram per run.

I've did a bit of research and almost everyone agrees they messed with the red border to the point many are quitting, again, just like a did and just like I will do. When the end game is annoying grind I can't stand it for too long.

Just keep pushing us away, see how far your new game gets you, I'm sure it's worth it, burning bridges to satisfy your desire to keep us grinding for the rest of our lives. Happy to see, or rather NOT happy to see that I'm not alone when noticing this issue.
