I get it - on the other hand they are ruining the game for other people.
You might as well work on it too while you can.
While I understand the frustration, the cause of this is the quests that Bungie has implemented. There were ways to implement this that wouldn't have had people deliberately work against other players to complete their own goals. I've noticed a pattern of this, though, so I don't think Bungie will ever stop making quests like this.
Don't hate the players for doing what they need to.
it's extremely annoying when you have 2 players wanting to farm ruffians and the other idiot is constantly banking treasure even when its blatantly obvious the others are trying to delay banking treasure. that extra time makes all the difference
also if you check sesson of plunder triumphs there is one triumph where you have to kill 250
I have done in the past but most of the time it takes ages for people to join when making a fireteam. or there are no fireteams for it to join. So i make do soloing it. i get 3 most of the time.
It cost a person not interested in the Ruffian less time than it cost the ones who want it in time to find a team. I know it must ruin people's entire day to lose seconds out of it. If anyone doesn't like this, they need to be talking to Bungie, they did this.
THIS, is the problem. Everyone wants to talk TEAM PLAYER until they don't. It takes a small amount of time, this is first world problems taken to the extreme. If you can't handle being a team player and having patience to take a few extra seconds, maybe YOU should set your network up to play solo.
Bungie did this, there is no reason that a person should spend a LOT more time building a team to save you a few seconds.
Edit: I have never tossed them out, but seen it and didn't care.

Goes both ways.
If you seriously think the person playing the objective correctly is in the wrong, take it up with Bungie. Since they improved the spawns, the runs I've done have had those enemies spawn at most of the points without such trolling, so I don't see why this should still be a thing. Like, even if you just don't throw the balls and only clear adds, it will probably take the 1-2 people doing it long enough that the special add will spawn naturally. No need to grief people over it.
I never toss them, but it's not griefing people, it's how the game works. If you go too fast you miss out. The forum has been lit up about people rushing in strikes, now it's because they don't rush. I would never actively prevent others progressing, and don't like that, but I think it's selfish to complain about a few seconds to let someone else progress in getting their title. People trying to get Ruffians, could just as easily say the people rushing are griefing them, they are trying to do something the game was made to do and not bypass it.
I said it goes both ways. What makes a rusher objectively correct? The made them stop de-spawning, you can still go too fast for them to spawn. The fact that 2 people take long enough shows what I said is true, it's not a big deal, it's seconds and nothing to screech about. If you feel griefed over that, you need some thicker skin.
Not sure why this would be obvious to some random player, a lot of them dont know about this.
Yeah, just break the ToS and risk getting banned instead of playing within what we have to because of a terrible system.
