I think you only lose out on seasonal content but a lot of the old weapons are reprised in a few missions, presage has the nightmare season weapons, etc.

I'd say that bundle is 1000% worth it

oh totally worth, nothing is this package is stuff you can't acesss

though you will be missing the 2 dungeon keys that have 2 dungeons each from y6 and y5.

you will have this years episodes (slightly changed system but basically still seasons but basically same thing) and its 2 dungeons as the second one came out less than a week ago.

If you care about the story, no. I know bundle is called "the story so far", but first half of the story got deleted from the game so you start from the middle. I bought the bundle and regret it.

There was also destiny 1, and so saying you wanted to play through the story is a bit disingenuous otherwise you would have started, from well the start. In regards to story access dcv is no different from being a previous game you also wouldnt play.

Dcv sucks of course tho either way.

I would play it or at least I would watch yt video on the story of D1 like someone else recommended me. By buying the bundle titled "the story so far" I expected to experience whole story of Destiny 2, but it is not the case. I applied for a refund since I bought the bundle in less than 2 weeks ago and therefore I am eligible for it.

I am not here to argue about it, I am just warning op. He now has an opinion of someone who (judging by your hours) lives in the game and opinion of someone who is new and wanted to get into the game and story of the sequel. What he will do is his choice alone, I just don't want him to regret anything like I did.

You know, I can play The Witcher 3 without playing The Witcher 1 and 2 because the game has a clear beginning, middle, and end. Starting Destiny 2 now is like starting The Witcher 3 and being thrown straight into the battle for Kaer Morhen without any explanation.

Bottom line, in spite of the whining in here, the $30.00 bundle is well worth it. It has all available content minus the dungeons for Witch Queen and Lightfall, a LOT of content.

Edit: Thanks for the Steam points.

Final advice to the op, check hours played of each person who recommends or not recommend you anything. It may help you in judging if the person is biased or not.
IMHO it's worth it at $30. There's no other FPS game that really does it like destiny 2 does in regards to gameplay + build-crafting (synergizing weapons and armor). Closest game I can really think of is borderlands 3 but even then it pails into comparison due to dungeons + raids that destiny offers. As a destiny 2 player who began in August 2021, and took numerous breaks throughout my 1k hour journey, I still find myself logging back in because of the re-playable activities and builds YOU can create by simply sinking your teeth into the game. If you're looking for a multiplayer, MMO FPS at the price of $30, then I'd say it's one of the best deals offered.

Yes, heaven forbid someone who has a lot of hours and thus obviously likes it say something, we must only listen to the new players. LOL

When I install a new set of power tubes in one of my amps, I always make sure to properly bias them. LOL

Edit: Thanks for the Steam points.
