Annual pass not giving the current season?
Gifted the humble bundle the story so far to a friend, for some reason despite saying it has the annual pass edition he does not have access to the current season. He redeemed it on steam, but he is a returning Xbox player so he just set up crossprogression. What is the issue?

You have to own the expansions and dlc per platform so he would have to play on steam not xbox
I have a feeling he's someone I just replied to on Bungie's forum (Lettuce#9059). My guess is that he redeemed the key on Steam first, and then used cross-save. By doing it that way, he tied the passes to Steam (they count as in-game, Eververse items, and get applied to a single character set only), and then made the Steam side go dormant and inaccessible when he picked XBox as the Active account.

Cross-saving first would have meant that, even though redeemed on Steam, the passes would have been tied to XBox, which would have been the Active account.

There is a form for this, which I have already linked him to.

Could you link this form to me? I bought the game on Steam and then linked my Xbox account to steam, but it is not giving me the new season even though I own the Annual Pass.

Passes count as in-game Eververse purchases even when bought through an annual pass bundle on Steam, etc. That's why that form is valid for them.

Please do not do anything as this may impact your resolution.

I would recommend waiting until Bungie responds to your ticket regarding this.
