Was there a Graphic Overhaul?

Destiny 2 looks much better than I remember.

I am still using the same PC and monitor and had only taken a 3 month break.

Was there a recent graphic overhaul?

The only change on my end was downloading the new Nvidia App, but my graphic drivers were always updated and Destiny 2 was always "optimized" with game ready drivers.

The lighting, texture detail, and sharpness of all graphic assets look sharper and more defined.

Only thing I remember that got changed during the release of Beyond Light was the lighting system.

I think it's because I downloaded the new Nvidia app., even though it's the same driver I clicked optimize all.

I probably didn't do that for Destiny 2 before.

Check what it changed in nvidia control panel. It might switched to a higher resolution or enabled sharpening w/e.

it was done like 5 years ago they changed lighting system
