Is it possible to UNLOCK Cosmetics and have them deleted

I just came back and started Destiny. i got the starwars cosmetics.. but they dont show up. are they deleted after i unlock them>?

There should appear a box in your inventory that you need to open.

i believe i unlocked it.. and opened it (it gave me the offer of a refund) but i opened it.. It is a LEGENDARY cosmetic.. do i need a Legendary item to use the cosmetic on it?

i just started so all i have are green labeled gear. (im just in the tutorial still) - but i was able to purchase and open it.. just not equip it.. (but the tie fighter did work).

- maybe i deleted a cosmetic item?

I don't think you can use ornaments on green or blue, you need legendary, purple.

ok thanks. and if i buy the ornaments.. Is it only ONE per character class or character?

ARe purchased items shareable across my characters? what if i delete a character? do i still own or have the ornament / cosmetic?

If you buy an ornament for a Hunter, that's what it works on. Each class has their own. Deleting a character should have no affect on your ornaments. Only the items on or in the backpack of a character goes with it. This is why I suggest getting white armor and guns and putting everything else in the vault before deleting a character.
