I just had a season quest monster sink through the floor
I couldn't complete my quest because I couldn't kill the taken creature that dropped the taken orb I was supposed to destroy. Its during the Echoes ACT 1 Sloan mission in the Dreaming City.

Frustrating as all hell.

Oh and I had to start it all over again from the beginning even though I was at the end.

Had the same issue, it drops the orb where it dies so killing it too low to the ground softlocks. Just give it a second to waddle into a good position and it's alright, yet another case of a bug that only punishes people who go fast.

I had the same thing happen. I did the mission again from orbit, and during the fight, ended up standing in the spot where it spawns/got stuck in the thick part of the floor, and it spawned on the other side of the circular area. I don't know if that was what did it, but you may try standing on the thick part of the platform and seeing if it will spawn away from you.

Yeah happened to me as well, need to wait for the Ogre to slump his way out of the platform and come on over, then the orb wont be buried in the platform when you kill him. Lucky it isnt a hard part of the quest to redo.

Thanks for this. My group and I ran this about three times last night and were frustrated as we couldn't figure out why the objective was stuck beneath the floor. I think we were just killing him too quick (as he was in the floor) and we'll run it again, waiting, to see if he can make his way out.
guessing this was the O GERRRR in the dreaming city, as that is the one that sunk for me.
The seasonal quest progression has been a clown show. Specifically for the Barrow-Dyad.

I spent an hour trying to break the last 3 curses before the actual exotic mission..., only to realize it auto-completed but never updated the UI.

I loaded into Alters of Sorrow like 20 times trying to get that damn relic to spawn.
It never did.
Eventually I tried the nether, and the statues were there. Magic.

Typical Bungie.

A lot of people are having issues with this season, you are not alone.
