I am coming from PS5 to PC destiny and want my characters from PS5 on PC. I have both accounts linked on Bungie.net. I have both account authenticated but it will not let my link them. I have an epic and xbox account linked and cannot unlink them. I do not recall linking these but I am assuming all linked account must be authenticated to progress to linking.

When I try to unlink my epic account, I am instantly met with an error. "Unlinking has failed because you signed into a different external account than the one you have linked" I cannot get into this account as I do not remember making. I am so confused and would really appreciate the help.

Again, the problem is that I cannot continue the linking process due to 2 other account (I don't remember linking) not able to be authenticated

Have you tried to speak with Bungie support? This seems like a problem few on here will be able to help you with.

All linked accounts must be included in cross-save if you wish to activate it, so yes they all need authenticating, that's why you can't continue. Bungie support can't really help, because when you log into an Epic, or Steam account, etc, your login details are being passed through that platform's own authentication portal, which then gives Bungie the 'ok' or 'no go!'. So Bungie doesn't know 'which' Epic account you used and can't give you any details, nothing helpful anyway.

You'd have to work with Epic support. If it's anything like Steam's (and that is a big IF..) you can list your email accounts and they'll see if any Epic accounts are tied to them.

One thing I could also suggest, if you're logging in with login name and password, try registered email and password instead. Or vice-versa.

If you're completely unable to unlink them, how attached are you to your Bungie Account? That's where your code-redeemed emblems go, and your Bungie digital rewards. They'll all be lost if you use the below method, so be warned.

If you can't unlink your Epic or XBox accounts, you could unlink your PSN and Steam accounts instead? You'd need a dummy account, because you can't unlink an account that you logged in with.

Step 1 - log in with PSN, unlink Steam,
Step 2 - link a dummy Steam account,
Step 3 - log into the dummy Steam account, unlink PSN,

You can then link your Steam and PSN account together with a new Bungie Account.

If you stop playing on your PS5 and start on your PC, you will have to buy all the DLC's on PC separately. Cross -save on allows you to have you chars not the DLC's.

You sure about that? I bought the dungeon key on my psn account and then use cross save to play on Microsoft account and worked just fine.

When people refer to the DLC they usually mean the main expansion packs. Those don't share across platforms.

But yeah, the dungeon keys and episode passes, which are in-game Eververse items, work in a different way. For a PSN game profile containing dungeon keys and episode passes, cross-saved and shared to Steam, the dungeons and the episodic content is playable on Steam.
