Question about GM Nightfall
I'm missing "The Prestige" achievement. I haven't played since 2022, maybe? So, I'm not sure anymore what the exact PL requirement is to be able to join GM Nightfall. I know there are a lot of changes since then. But, I have no idea what kind of system exists now in the game. The last thing I remember is that I would need weeks or maybe a few months of grinding to reach minimum PL as a returning player (given that I have so little spare time). At least that's what I remember, but I might be wrong. It's the reason why I wasn't able to get back to it before. Now, I just happen to see my achievements again and thought of checking it off my list this time around.

I was just wondering if anyone can help explain to me what I need to do to get it at this time. Is it still possible for me to get the GM Nightfall Achievement if I come back? Do I need to have a specific DLC? Because I only have Forsaken and Shadowkeep. That sort of thing. Or maybe.. how long do you think it would take me until I am able to join one? I have no clue why I didn't get to do this when I was still active back then (I have 1.7k hours). Hope you guys can help me. I just want to get this last achievement. Thank you in advance!

if you join a game where someone has higher power level then you, you will be matched higher in power level, boosted by power level leader.
So technically, you need very little. Dont know anything about prestige achievement.
Currently in the current artifact, stasis and arc, and a bit of void is prevalent. So make an arc or stasis dmg build. Weapons according to GM or build.
I've unlocked the achievement about a year ago (never did a GM before that) so I assume earning the achievement still works.

As mentioned above, you could technically get right back into endgame activities as long as someones power level in your fireteam is high enough to beat a grandmaster nightfall.

Just make sure you can unlock the required anti-champion mods in your artifact.

Ohhh I see. Do I need DLC for Stasis?
I think I have anti-champion mods before.

They made Beyond Light campaign (including the Subclass) and Shadowkeep free to play a year or two ago.

There is a Beyond Light Pack DLC but it's only required if you want to have all the associated exotics from the DLC.

I forgot to mention not all the Nightfall/Grandmaster Strikes are free. The Nightfall rotation usually have some free to play Strikes and Strikes that requires certain DLC's to be played.

The current Nightfall is Birthplace of the Vile which requires The Witch Queen DLC.

It used to be Liminality for this week but got changed to Birthplace of the Vile due to increased amount of "Guitar" errors.

If the calender is correct, the next Nightfall after the weekly reset is going to be The Corrupted which requires the Forsaken DLC.
  • Battleground: Behemoth is free to play.
  • Liminality requires The FInal Shape.

Oh right, there's that huh. Hmm. What if I have someone in my fireteam that has the Witch Queen? Would that work or no?

Everyone in the Fireteam has to own the DLC to start the Match.
