Can you please confirm your ISP and your region?
I recommend reaching out to your ISP for support.
Hi there!
Virgin Media has confirmed they are investigating the issue.

I would reach out to your ISP’s support team for any further questions or for a status update on their investigation.
If I use my VM Modem I cannot login or play practically any games, but if I use my EE mobile tethered to my PC, I can play any game I want.
The reason some games might work and some people might be able to play is down to the issue, personally from experience I would say it's a peering link that has failed and they will be trying to move the traffic from the failed link to the ones which remain working, this is not a quick thing to accomplish!
If you have a mobile phone and it's not on the VM network try tethering your phone if you must play, it will more than likely work unless VM provides the backhaul for your mobile phone provider.
